Dr. Baijian “Justin” Yang is the Associate Dean for Research at Purdue Polytechnic Institute and a Professor in the School of Applied and Creative Computing at Purdue University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University, with an MS and BS in Automation (EECS) from Tsinghua University. Dr. Yang brings a wide range of expertise in computer and information technology, having published over 100 refereed articles. His research is particularly focused on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, manufacturing, forestry, and cybersecurity, where he seeks to leverage AI for innovative solutions and enhanced efficiency across these sectors.
