Vikki Baltimore-Dale is a choreographer, author, visual artist, and full professor of jazz dance at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She performed with the George Faison’s Universal Dance Experience in New York City and the D.C. Black Repertory Dance Company. Her film credits include The Wiz, The Blues Brothers, and One from the Heart. She also performed on Broadway in Bubbling Brown Sugar.
Baltimore-Dale has choreographed works for the Cleo Parker-Robinson Dance Ensemble, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Windows International Dance Company, and Kaleidoscope. She was the first to teach jazz dance master classes in China and Russia and served as an adjudicator for the World Jazz Dance Congress.
In 2018, she authored Survey of African American Dance, with the third edition published in 2024. She was a featured speaker and choreographer for the Carson City TEDx event and received the Dr. Bert Babero Sr. Faculty/Staff Award in 2021. In addition, she was the recipient of the Charles Vanda Award for Excellence in the Arts. Baltimore-Dale also served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Blacks in Dance for over 10 years and has exhibited her visual art in Las Vegas.
