Jaietta Jackson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication at Youngstown State University. Jaietta earned her degree from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Communication. After working as a production engineer at a CBS affiliated television station she moved into the field of Public Relations earning her MA from NYU and currently is PhD, ABD from at Kent State University.
Although Jaietta has a vast career in communication, her research agenda focuses on Intercultural Communication and Multiculturalism. Jaietta’s current communication research focuses on diversity within the university setting. She examines the collegiate success of Black males from single mother households.
She is the owner and diversity, equity, and inclusion trainer of her company one2one Communication Consulting. She has provided seminars and diversity training for small businesses and organizations on topics of diversity, culturally inclusive climates and equity.
