Kenna Morgan Franklin is the Assistant Provost for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement at Louisiana State University -Shreveport. She has served on the faculty in the Department of History and Social Sciences for the past 33 years, teaching Social Work and Sociology courses. Her research interests include: Underserved student populations, Transfer Students, African-American student issues,, Educational Disparities, Retention Strategies, Student Success, and University/Business/Community Partnerships. She currently serves on the Chancellor’s Leadership Council, the Provosts Council, various university committees, and countless community advisory boards, commissions, and associations.
