Joshua Locklair is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW). He holds a master’s degree in Information Technology from CUW and a Ph.D. in the same from Capella University. He teaches a wide variety of topics (from foundations of computer science to operating systems), although his primary interests are machine learning and user experience. His love of learning and computer science were inspired by his father, who has taught at CUW for nearly 40 years, and his mother, who homeschooled him and his four siblings through high school. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys the detective stories of Raymond Chandler, the music of The Bee Gees, and the small-town charm of Port Washington, WI, where he resides with his wife Joya, their four children, and a nervous dog. He is a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Port Washington.
