Dr. Robert D. Austin is a full professor at Ivey Business School and an affiliated faculty member at Harvard Medical School. Previously, he was a full professor at Copenhagen Business School, dean of the faculty of business at the University of New Brunswick at Fredericton, and associate professor at Harvard Business School. He is author or co-author of nine books, including the bestselling Adventures of an IT Leader (Harvard Business Review Press, 2009, 2016). He has also published widely in top journals, such as Harvard Business Review, Information Systems Research, MIT Sloan Management Review, and Organization Science; and has written more than 100 published cases and notes. In addition, he is the designer of three Harvard online products, and two popular Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs) run-ning on the Coursera platform. His “Cyberattack!” Simulation won the 2019 International Serious Play Gold Medal. Outside of his academic career, Dr. Austin has held management positions at Ford and Novell and served as CEO of the largest executive education provider in northern Europe.
