In author Julie Mueller's second book, she combines two of her favorite things... baking and the National Mississippi River Museum. The Museum has been a part of her life for 15 plus years. With this book she hopes to give something back and share not only some Otterly Awesome Treats, but some fun facts about the animals that reside at the Museum.

Born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, Julie Mueller was first introduced to baking over 25 years ago and loves to refine her skills with any chance she gets. Julie has authored The 12 Days of Christmas and the Women & Recipes Who Inspired my Love for Baking, sharing pictures, memories, and recipes of the women who shaped her life and talents. When she is not baking, you can find her at the ice arena watching the local team play or her son playing on the high school team. She loves trips to warm weather places with a beach but prefers to live somewhere where she can enjoy the change of seasons and cold weather. Julie has been married to her husband Chris for almost two decades. Together they have a teenage son, CJ, along with two dogs Lilly and Daisy.
