The 9-Core Competencies provides the building blocks and a prioritized step-by-step process needed to enable leadership to develop a sustained competitive advantage as they leverage the power and synergy of their organization to add value to and advance the society.

Forty-three years of demonstrated and progressive industry experience. This experience includes: (1) three international startups in Malaysia, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean; (2) engineering management, (3) hospitality management, (4) small business management; (5) staffing and human resource management/development; (6) executive and leadership training; (7) strategic planning and operations management, (8) instructional design, and (9) ethics and corporate responsibility. While working for others, I’ve been credited with 19 division/outstanding awards and published 64 peer-reviewed internal technical/non-technical papers. Amongst my past and recent publications are “Ethical Solutions—Creating an ethical and high-performing business community” (2009), “Total Business Excellence—A New Management Model for Operationalizing Excellence” (2016), Textbook on Entrepreneurship (2019), Textbook on Management (2021), a recently released white paper on a 15-year reflective study on decision-making and the Next Generation Collaboration using Consultation (2022), and a seminal leadership/management textbook called "The 9-Core Competencies” (2024). I have three areas of focus and responsibility. First, I’m an adjunct professor of leadership and business administration at GCU and Wilkes universities. Second, I’m the founder of a new leadership firm called Strategic Competencies (www.StrategicCompetencies.com). The mission of this firm is to enable leadership and organizations to develop a sustained competitive advantage as they advance the society. Third, I’m leading a new startup company called SteadiWare (www.SteadiWare.com). This firm is positioned to deliver a unique line of products designed to stop hand tremors while in use by patents with Parkinson’s Disease, Essential Tremors, and Other similar diseases. As to my educational background, I’ve earned a Doctoral degree in Management and organizational leadership, an M.S. degree in Applied Information Management, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science.
