Daisy Nystul is the Chairperson and Full Professor of Theatre Arts at the University of Central Oklahoma. During her tenure at UCO, she directed “Mr. Marmalade” selected as one of the top 12 productions in the nation by the National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival committee and received a special commendation from the National Selection Team—Distinguished Achievement in Directing.
Ms. Nystul also directed “Pterodactyls” selected as an alternate production to the National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival out of approximately 1,300 plays presented across the nation. Ms. Nystul is the author of a beginning acting textbook and an introduction to theatre textbook. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity Association, and is a Certified Lessac Trainer (voice, speech, and acting). Ms. Nystul also won a Vanderford Distinguished Teacher Award—Excellence in Teaching and two 21st Century Pedagogy Distinguished Teacher Scholar awards.
