Acting: What to Do

Primarily targeting students who are working in Realism, Acting: What To Do provides a basis for work in all genres and styles in acting. This text provides material on both serious drama and comedy, and all the sub genres of Realism of the late nineteenth and twenty-first centuries. 

Acting: What To Do:  

• Provides text that is concise and to the point
• Contains group exercises to practice techniques presented
• Allows students to discover techniques and tips, and a smattering of philosophy, to help them instrumentalize their choices for character portrayal
• Encourages students to discover guidelines for the entire process from training the instrument, through earning a role, developing the character, rehearsal, and performance
