Diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), learning disabilities, and emotional disturbance in fourth grade, Dr. Crawford spent years in Special Education classrooms—literal basements designed more for containment than learning. His report cards bore the letters “NG” for Non-Graded, reflecting the low expectations placed on him. Yet, his critical thinking and adaptability shone through, allowing him to navigate mainstream and Special Ed worlds while defying the labels imposed on him.
Today, Dr. Crawford uses his experiences to advocate for inclusive education.
