Dennis C. Tanner received the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University. He has been named “Outstanding Educator” by the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions and the College of Health Professions’ “Teacher of the Year.” He has published widely in academic and professional journals and is the author of books in communication sciences and disorders. Dr. Tanner is currently Professor of Health Sciences in the Speech-Language Sciences and Technology pro gram at Northern Arizona University.
William R. Culbertson is a Professor of Health Sciences at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona where he teaches anatomy and physiology in the Speech-Language Sciences and Technology program. Dr. Culbertson received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Audiology and Speech Sciences and was a clinical practitioner for twenty years.
