Applied Animal Nutrition introduces the principles of animal nutrition and their application to livestock and companion animals. The book covers nutrients, feed analysis, energy measurement, feed ingredients, feed processing, and feed regulations before examining species-specific nutrition for swine, poultry, beef and dairy cattle, small ruminants, horses, and companion animals. Additional chapters address feed additives and include worksheets, practice problems, nutrient requirement tables, and feed composition data to support the application of nutrition principles.
