This introductory course covers both the history of art, the appreciation of art and how to apply this knowledge, including the fundamental principles of design.

Art History & Appreciation: Creative Exploration & Application exposes students to the world of art and its history. This text helps students develop a sense of what Art is and express what it means to our culture and way of life.

Upon the completion of this textbook, students should be able to participate more effectively in human society with knowledge about the production, spiritual creativity and functions of art, and how it contributes to humanity in general and our American culture in particular.
