The goal of this text is to provide sufficient examples of each topic covered. It is suggested that students carefully study each of the many examples given in each of the first thirteen units. At the end of each unit is a quiz that will test your knowledge of the material within that unit. Unit 14 is devoted to a cumulative exam of all material from the previous thirteen units. For each unit, several of the answers to the quiz questions will have a short explanation. For each question in the cumulative exam at the end of Unit 14, a reference is listed to show the unit from which each question was taken. This should help students in further understanding the material.
