Joseph A. Pisani

Dr. Joseph Pisani joined the Marymount University faculty in 2021 as a Lead Doctoral Faculty Mentor and professor in the Doctoral Leadership Program. Dr. Pisani’s academic experience includes serving as a Senior Dissertation Chair and adjunct professor for Grand Canyon University in the School of Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership. For the past 31 years, Dr. Pisani has worked in P–12 public education. He has served as a Social Studies and Career and Technical Education teacher. For the past 20 years, Dr. Pisani has served as a secondary administrator, and he spent 18 years as a high school principal in both New York and Virginia.

 

Dr. Pisani graduated from Capella University with his PhD in 2008, with primary emphasis in Education Leadership and Technology. Dr. Pisani’s graduate degrees are a masters Elementary and Secondary Education from Dowling College and a postgraduate degree in School District Administration. His undergraduate degree in Business Administration is from Dowling College. Dr. Pisani’s research interests are focused on transition challenges for students from middle school to high school and leadership development and methodology. Dr. Pisani recently co-authored books focused on the responsibility of reason in leadership and shared leadership and the value of stakeholder voice, and the becausal effects on leadership.

Jamey Long

Jamey M. Long is an author of various children’s, business, and education books. He is the owner of three companies that provides curriculum, reading, workshops, and educational materials for schools across America and business, educational, and leadership consulting to businesses everywhere. He is a member of the faculty at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College and was nominated for the NVCC Alumni Federation Faculty of the Year Award. Currently, he is an educator for the Virginia Department of Education. He has earned a DBA and EdD from William Howard Taft University and remains busy supporting educational programs, schools, and businesses. Dr. Long currently resides in Virginia.
