The Brain Train is a literal journey we can take with our children. If you are a teacher, a parent, a support professional, any caring adult - you can help children learn the language of emotion. This book was designed to be an effective and enjoyable tool to use, in creating an emotionally safe and supportive partnership between an adult and a child. Our goal is to help children as they develop and use their verbal skills, instead of their acting out behavior, to learn how to express their feelings in a positive and productive way. The Brain Train provides a proactive approach that supports the process of connecting feelings to words. It can help to guide this stage of development in a manner that validates what our children feel, without reinforcing the unhelpful and challenging behaviors that they often use, when they can't find the words. Together we can take The Brain Train to help our children get on track to an emotionally healthy future!
