Business-Hood: Handling the Ups & Downs of Raising a Business

Lacey Gonzalez is an Associate Teaching Professor of Business and the Business Division Coordinator at Lehigh Carbon Community College. She initially joined the faculty as an adjunct in 2007 after completing her Master’s in Business Administration from Alvernia University where she specialized in Entrepreneurship. From 2012 to 2014, she also served as an Entrepreneurship Educational Specialist before becoming a full-time faculty member in 2014. 

Throughout the creation of various online undergraduate courses for her department, Lacey has emphasized the importance of active learning as a fundamental aspect of all courses, whether conducted in person or online. She is an advocate for Quality Matters and has 5 certified Quality Mattes Courses. 

Gonzalez also owns and manages a successful tax and accounting practice. In addition to tax and accounting services, her practice specializes in Entrepreneurship Coaching and provides services to local governmental authorities. This wide range of expertise and diverse experience allows her to offer a breadth of knowledge to her students and provide real-world scenarios, enriching their learning experience. 

Lacey lives in Northeastern Pennsylvania with her husband, Kevin, and her fur babies. The two have been on several business adventures together. In the past, they have had a successful retail arbitrage business, owned a restaurant where they formulated their own proprietary chili co-pack recipe, managed several rental properties, and flipped houses. In their free time, they enjoy watching football together making food and cocktails for their friends and family. They also enjoy traveling.
