Dr. Carson Clements joined the Monmouth University faculty in 2023. Dr. Clements earned his B.A in Political Science at the State University of New York at Brockport (1992), M.A in History at the State University of New York at Brockport (1995), Jur. Dr. in law from Syracuse University College of Law (2002), and Ph.D. in History/International Relations from Miami University (2004).
Dr. Clements’ areas of teaching and research specialization are in private international law, comparative law, international business transactions, the legal environment of business, international commercial and sales law, international commercial arbitration, business law, business associations and corporations, international trade and regulation, and the law of obligations. Dr. Clements has considerable practical experience in international arbitration, commercial and sales law, negotiating and drafting, transactional work, technology transfers, and licensing agreements, as well as an extensive background in European studies, Trans-Atlantic security structures, and international organizations.
