Johnson
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. I am the son of Cleophus and Everlyn Johnson. I have five siblings: Yvonne, Patricia, Beverly, Kenny, and Natalie. We grew up in a household where education was encouraged, and love for others was emphasized. I have several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins who are also instrumental in my success.
During my life, I received several academic and athletic awards. My academic awards include being selected as “Best Math Student” every year from grade school through the twelfth grade. I was also a member of the Mental Math team when I was a student at Alexander Hamilton High School.
Much of my joy in life came while attending John Adams High School. I met many outstanding people and forged friendships that still exist to this day. I believe that my experiences at John Adams High School are instrumental in my current success. While a student at that school, I was voted Most Likely to Succeed, and was inducted into the National Honor Society, Society of Distinguished American High Students, Who’s Who Among American High School Students, and Who’s Who Among Cleveland High School Students. I received several subject awards in mathematics, and I also received subject awards in physics and social studies as a high school senior. I was also a member of the chess team, the math team, the spelling team, the track team, and the Physics Olympics team (to name a few).
My experiences at Case Western Reserve University also helped to mold me. There I met other individuals whom I am still friends with. I further developed my math ability while a student at that fine institution. I was also a member of the track and football teams at CWRU.
One of the best decisions of my life was to marry Alice Faye Pittman. She is a warmhearted person who is the best wife that any man could ask for. She is also an excellent mother. She has given me three wonderful children: Tonika, Clarence Jr., and Alicia. Between them, the three children have 27 national championships in track and field and currently hold 3 national records. They were also very good at other sports. Each of them also excelled in the classroom.
My passion is to help others be successful in their endeavors. I strive to help students develop a love and understanding of mathematics. My hope is that this book Business Statistics: Clearly Explained will help students be more successful in mathematics and in life.
