Ramon Tejada
Ramon Tejada is a faculty member at California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California. His teaching areas are kinesiology; physiology of exercise; and motor learning, fitness, and development. He earned his degrees and completed his studies from California State University Northridge, Azusa Pacific University, and Walden University in the Doctoral of Philosophy program concentrating on Movement Education and its effect on skill and development in children. He has trained and worked at all levels of athletic development in the areas of basketball, football, soccer, track, and field. His expertise is in movement readiness and skill performance and proficiency. Dr. Tejada has written articles on increasing vertical leap jumping programs, depth drop resiliency, strength programs, and “the framework of the jump shot.” Ramon continues in coaching and teaching movement education to students, student teachers, and coaches and how it serves young children in their development of motor skills and movement knowledge.
