Dr. Rochelle R. Daniel is a tenured instructor and academic program coordinator for public relations in the Department of Communications at Bowie State University. She teaches the Internship Seminar course and public relations courses. She holds a doctorate and master’s degree in management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Howard University as well as a certificate in Advanced Public Relations from George Washington University. Before her academic career, she worked for more than 20 years as a public relations and marketing professional. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and faculty adviser for the Bowie State University student chapter.

Haynes
Dr. Karima A. Haynes is Director of the Campus Consortium Reporting Fellows Program at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in Washington, D.C. She is a 2019 Knight Visiting Nieman Fellow of the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard and a former tenured assistant professor of journalism at Bowie State University. Before making her transition into journalism education, she was a former staff writer of the Los Angeles Times, Ebony and The Providence Journal-Bulletin. In addition, her work has been published in The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and Jet. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Bowie State University, a master’s in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Clark Atlanta University.
