An exciting aspect of sociology is that the whole social world is your lab. Contemporary Social Issues: Sociology through Case Studies uses a variety of vignettes as case studies to explore essential sociological concepts. Along with the vignettes, it includes multimedia field exercises to identify those concepts in your own social milieu. With luck, these exercises will help readers take sociology out of the classroom and into the world around them.
