Developing an Active Vocabulary is intended for ESL students at the advanced level. Productive vocabulary skills are developed by providing an in-depth study of 240 carefully selected words that are frequently used in academic settings. This text will acquaint students with some fundamental principles regarding the use of words. It will enable students to use words with increased accuracy and confidence and will raise their awareness of how words function.
Developing an Active Vocabulary is divided into text and exercises and can be used as:

Suggested strategies for using this text include peer correction, sentence making, and spelling test.
