This chapter intends to deepen the meaning of dialogue, drawing on the theoretical contributions of transdisciplinarity and the philosophy of dialogue and applying them to my own teaching experiences. Following my initial study of the possible reciprocity between dialogue among cultures and dialogue among disciplines (Mangano 2010a, 2010b), I then began to explore dialogue as a space where the relationship may occur. My interest in developing this investigation was confirmed in conversations with colleagues who study dialogue from different points of view: sociological, philosophical, and theological, in addition to intercultural dialogue, the perspective I am concerned with in this chapter. Most confirmed that this approach to dialogue has been little investigated.
