Mindset is a compound word made of “Mind” and “Set.” To put it simply, it means a lump of thoughts. Our thoughts start from birth and continue to death. Specific thoughts gather to form a lump and develop into a mindset. We all have several mindsets within us. Like your personality, this is formed slowly from a very young age and hardens as we age, making it very difficult to change. Through this book, I want to talk about how we can discover, and hopefully change, the flaws in such a tightly formed mindset. Of course, it is not an easy path. However, I think it is worth investing time and effort if it is possible to create a new future for oneself by trying. All humans were created, and each of us creates something as we live our lives. However, everything that exists in the world is something that evolved into its current state from a previous form. Because we are not a god, we cannot create something from nothing. Steve Jobs said creativity is simply connecting the dots. From this perspective, a creative mindset can be defined as a chunk of minds that leads to the ability to connect dots.

This book is divided into five steps and deals with practical actions to discover your own creative mindset, change your life, and survive well in response to changes in the world. You can read this book comfortably, or you can read it by writing down your thoughts on a note paper next to you. The method I recommend is to create a Google Doc with the title “My Creative Mindset Manual” and write your thoughts down whenever you have time while reading this book. This is very convenient because you can write anywhere, anytime. You can write it in the bathroom with your smartphone or using a desktop computer in the office whenever you have free time. In time, you can develop your own manual by reading it again and revising the parts you don't like. Then, after reading this book, you will be able to create your own manual.

I tried to write this book as easily as possible in very simple words. Difficult concepts will be expressed in a very simple manner. Therefore, it was written so that anyone with the reading comprehension ability of a middle school student can easily read it. As a result, some readers may read this book in one or two days. However, the process of applying the contents of this book to real life will not be easy. Let me tell you in advance that most people, even if they read this book, may not be able to overcome the inertia of their existing lives. I also want to change as written in this book, but I confess that it feels difficult at times. Still, I recommend setting a goal and striving to implement it rather than not trying at all. If you can discover your creative mindset, you may be able to seize a tremendous opportunity.

I am not yet a virtuoso like Peter Drucker, Arthur Brooks, or Jordan Peterson. Rather, I am no different from your colleagues, seniors, or juniors who currently work with you, or who will work with you somewhere in the future. Like them, I am also a person who lives with many concerns and fears about the uncertain future and the life ahead. However, through this book, I want to think about and prepare for the person I want to be in the future. Honestly, I think the person who benefits the most from this book is me. Nevertheless, I hope that my crude writing will provide a small challenge and inspiration to our younger siblings, friends, and seniors who will live in the future.
