Infertility has been estimated to affect between 1:5 to 1:8 couples worldwide. While historically looked at as mainly being due to issues with the female partner, the last 30 years have proven male issues are at least partially to blame in over half the diagnosed cases of infertility (up to 30% time due solely to male issues, and an additional 25% of the time is the result of a combination of issues with him and his female partner). Yet the male is almost the forgotten partner in infertility treatment.
In Do You See What I See?, Dr. Sam Prien, an educator, inventor, researcher and clinical laboratory specialist who has spent 38 years in the world of infertility treatment, takes a lighthearted, but factual look at male infertility. Using cartoons and down to earth easy to understand explanations, he takes on us on a journey to explain male infertility as only a sperm can.
