Louis J. Everett is a Professor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), serving as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Academic Affairs and holding the John T. MacGuire Distinguished Professorship in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. He is also recognized for his expertise in dynamics, embedded control, modeling, and education design.

Alan Andrew Barhorst, Ph.D., P.E., FASME, is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he has served since September 2006. He is also the hub director for the new FIRST FTC hub in Lubbock.
