Explorer's Guide: Starting Your College Journey with a Sense of Purpose
Choose Your Format
There is a universal need found among people for meaning, significance and hope in their lives that can lead to a sense of purpose. The high school and college experience can and should be one that takes students along the path to those discoveries.
Exploration and discovery in the Life Calling journey have just become a lot easier. Life explorer, Bill Millard, a leading theorist in calling and purpose, has developed Explorer’s Guide to help students discover the components for a sense of calling and develop the tools for unleashing the power of purpose in their lives and in their college experience.
Explorer’s Guide combines theory and spiritual insight with storytelling and exercises to create a unique approach to this important area of study. It provides a contemporary framework for studying an age-old dilemma for every student entering college.
People are not able to recognize a purpose in their lives because society has encouraged them to chase after jobs by pursuing the typical career development model. But the problem is that this tends to put too much emphasis on careers instead of focusing on a higher purpose in their lives—a Life Calling.
Explorer’s Guide emphasizes the study of the kingdom of heaven. In this kingdom Jesus said people are willing to lose their lives for his sake, but in the end they find life. Explorer’s Guide follows the theme: Start your college journey with a sense of purpose.
