This chapter reports on the innovative design developed for a small conference intended to permit and encourage intercultural dialogues among an international group of scholars studying the topic of intercultural dialogue. It is argued that a more interactive and dialogic conference format creates a space for different voices and experiences to be heard, permitting the emergence of long-term networking and friendships. Such interaction carries further significance in the field of intercultural dialogue not only by challenging and questioning established dominant paradigms and concepts through the theorization of marginalized voices and experiences, but also through developing collaborative projects growing out of dialogic relationships where the distinction between the self and the other becomes less critical.
