Dr. Alaron Lewis' teaching style is creative and energetic. Her goals are to excite students about scientific problems then teach them how to navigate and evaluate the plethora of information that is available as they explore those issues independently. She recently spearheaded a project to implement Classroom Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) in our introductory labs. She has experience teaching a wide variety of courses focusing on cell and molecular biology. Lewis has also been very active in curriculum management, and she served as the chair of the Division of Biological Sciences five years from 2019-2024.
