Lapakko
David Lapakko is an Emeritus Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, where he taught full-time for 38 years. He has also taught communication-related courses at a variety of colleges in the Twin Cities area, including Hamline University, the University of St. Thomas, Metropolitan State University, St. Olaf College, Carleton College, St. Catherine University, and the University of Minnesota. In 2013, 2019, and 2023 he was a finalist in the Great American Think-Off, a national philosophy competition sponsored by the Cultural Center in New York Mills, MN, and was the Grand Champion in that event in 2015. He's been married to his wife Helen for 43 years and has two adult children and four grandchildren. His hobbies include photography, golf, attending house concerts, spending time with the grandkids, barbershop quartet singing, and, of course, writing.
