"I thought this course was amazing and was very beneficial to my knowledge being able to experience what rock and roll looked like way before I was born. I thought each chapter brought something new and I was looking forward to watching the videos every single week. I believe if any changes had to be made it would be that maybe sometimes there could be multiple choice quizzes instead of writing, but that is just a personal preference not anything significant that needs to be changed (just an idea). I absolutely enjoyed this class this semester and I hope you continue to teach it! Thank you for your time and patience with all of us, knowing that this class was all online!"

"Overall, I really enjoyed the History of Rock & Roll course this semester. It was very informative but was easily done on my own. Dr. Manhart’s book was really cool because it was interactive, it made it easy to follow along and get the work done that was assigned. I appreciated the videos that were included, especially the documentary. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone that has an interest in music!"

"I really enjoyed this class and learning about the background of rock and roll. It was very interesting to see who all started rock and roll and how it became so popular. Music has helped me through a lot of tough times, and I know it has others as well. Music is a big thing in my house and for my kids as well. We are always listening to some sort of music and of all genres as well. Thank you for making this class so much fun!"

“I really enjoyed this class this semester. I learned things about music that I probably never would have learned otherwise. I think that there is a lot more to the history of rock and roll than many people may realize. Rock and roll is not just something that came about, but it is something that has been important to many people around the world. I was also not aware of all of the aspects and elements that make music, music. It really is cool to sit back and listen to a song and identify parts of you never could before. One of my favorite things I learned from this class was how much music can have an impact on those going through difficult times, the Vietnam War is an example of that. I look forward to learning more about rock and roll and music in my future.”

“Throughout this course I have expanded my knowledge on the origin, history, and development of rock and roll. I have learned many things about different artists and just about the genre as a whole. I have heard so many new songs and artists that I never knew existed. It has been a very interesting and productive class.”
