The Human Life Science lab manual includes hands-on activities to examine the human body structure and function from a cellular level through various body systems. The manual opens with an introduction into the scientific method and then dives into cellular processes and structures. It then leads students through an open ended experiment on osmosis in which data is collected to write a lab report. Body systems covered include the nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, and the reproductive system. There are guides for dissections of a sheep's brain, a cow's eye, a sheep's heart, and a fetal pig (with focus on respiratory and digestive structures).
