Melinda Wilson is a poet, critic, essayist, and educator living in Bronx, New York. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire, an MFA in Poetry from The New School, and a PhD in English from Florida State University. She has taught at Fordham University, St. John's University, Manhattan University, Florida State University, and City University of New York, as well as several other institutions. In addition to this textbook, Melinda is the author of two poetry collections: Amplexus from Dancing Girl Press and What It Was Like to Be a Woman from Indolent Books.
