The purpose of this workbook is to provide examples of different forms of abuse to assist those who provide service to their fellow human beings across various disciplines. I wish to stress that abuse is not specific to any one ethnicity, gender, or gender identity. Hence, the names, ethnicities, gender identities, and other demographic classification used in the workbook should be considered as a means of making abstract examples more concrete and enabling the reader to relate to them rather than an indication that the abuse in that example is specific to those demographic groups. In fact, it may help the reader to relate to these examples if they mentally insert names and identities of people whom they know in real life while reading the examples.
