In Impact Hospitality, Jason C. Bass and Donte P. Johnson redefine what it means to lead with purpose in the world of hospitality and beyond. Through personal narratives and powerful examples, the authors unpack their groundbreaking philosophy that community engagement isn’t just good ethics—it’s good business. This book explores how cultural authenticity, resilience, and impact-driven leadership can transform not only the bottom line but also the lives of people businesses touch every day. Born out of their experiences managing Hotel Revival in Baltimore, Bass and Johnson take readers behind the scenes of their pioneering work. They share the challenges of building a business that prioritizes people, partnerships, and profitability while addressing issues of systemic inequity.

Blending humor, grit, and wisdom, Impact Hospitality offers actionable strategies for leaders and entrepreneurs ready to embrace the future of business as a force for good.

A key voice in this storytelling is Ryan Rhodes (DJ Impulse), whose striking photography and videography bring the book’s moments to life. A Baltimore native and beloved community figure, Ryan’s visual artistry captures the spirit of the movement, adding depth and emotion to each chapter.

Whether you're in hospitality, community organizing, or any field that values connection, this book challenges you to think bigger, dig deeper, and make every interaction count.
