Guillermo J. Grenier, Ph.D. is a Professor of Sociology in the Department of Global & Sociocultural Studies at Florida International University. He is a leading scholar of immigration, labor, Cuban American communities, and social change, and a founder of the Miami school of social analysis. Dr. Grenier has served as the lead investigator of the FIU Cuba Poll since 1991. He earned a Ph.D. in Sociology and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico and a B.A. in English and Anthropology from Georgia State University.
