James J. Jeffers III

Artist, designer, educator, father, Jim Jeffers works with computer mediation, web art, performance, photography, and video in con- junction with conventional media. Exploring cultural material and material culture, Jeffers is interested in most things, particularly superheroes, airplanes, car design, Swiss Army knives, rabbits, the new age of amazing television, good design in all things, and global fairness. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in over 80 exhibitions. In his nearly two decades of teaching, Jim has taught over 150 classes and hundreds of students. He holds degrees from the University of California–Santa Cruz, New York University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University. He has served on the boards of many non-profit arts organizations, most notably the New Media Caucus, where, as a founding member of the organization, he currently serves as the treasurer. Jim teaches at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida.
