Alexander Kondeas
Alexander Kondeas holds a PhD in Economics with a Finance concentration from Auburn University, an MA in Economics and an MBA with a Finance concentration from the University of South Florida, and an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa, Greece. He has taught at Auburn University, Greensboro College, Guilford College, and Winston-Salem State University. His research interests include Financial Planning, International Finance, and Macroeconomics. His research is published in the International Journal of Business and Social Science, Real World Economic Review, Academy of Business Journal, Journal of Business and Behavioral Sciences, and Applied Financial Economics Letters. He is a Certified Financial Planner™.
Nicholas Daves
Nicholas Daves holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in History with a minor in Economics from Davidson College. He has more than forty years experience in commercial banking with North Carolina National Bank (now part of Bank of America), Northwestern Bank (now part of Wells Fargo), and as the founding president and CEO of Enterprise National Bank in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, which later merged with Lexington State Bank. Following his retirement from Lexington State Bank in 2007, Daves joined the faculty of the School of Business and Economics at Winston-Salem State University. He is the Program Director for the university’s undergraduate Personal Finance Degree Program, which is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. In addition, he is the Director of the Center of Excellence in Financial Services.
David Stewart
David Stewart holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Tennessee, an MBA with a Finance concentration from Indiana University, and an MS and BS in Statistics from Purdue University. As the former Chair of the Department of Economics and Finance, he led Winston-Salem State University to register the Personal Finance Degree Program with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. His research interests include Financial Planning, Market Efficiency, and International Finance. His research is published in the International Journal of Finance, American Economist, and Economic System, among others.
