Jones and the Big Race is a heartwarming story of an energetic, slightly overconfident 8-year-old boy who is fast. He's been waiting all year for the Big School Race, a race where the winner gets a gold medal, a giant chocolate chip cookie, and their picture on the school's website and on the Gym Wall. But when winning the big race means leaving someone behind, Jones faces a tough choice. Will he cross the finish line alone-or with a friend by his side? An easy read for 8-10-year-olds who love sports, running fast, dreaming big, and learning that sometimes the best prize isn't a medal - it's sharing a giant cookie with a new friend.
