Punhal Chaudry
Naiel Chaudry

Naiel (13) and Punhal (11) are a brother-sister duo who live in Northern California with their parents. They started their home baking business, Lá Jawab Treats, in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic to share their love for baking and giving with the world. Lá Jawab means unmatchable in Urdu, which stands true for their unique and creative fusion desserts, a tribute to their Pakistani American heritage.

In his free time, Naiel enjoys graphic designing, public speaking, singing and playing volleyball.

When Punhal is not baking, she is busy mixing boba drinks, playing soccer, doing gymnastics and trying out the latest hair styles.

“I take my dessert very seriously and I can say that Naiel and Punhal’s desserts are the best I’ve had, even compared to desserts from chefs who’ve been doing this for decades. Their sharing these recipes is a gift to the world. Now back to my rasmalai tres lèches cake that I just got from them.”
Sal Khan – Founder & CEO of Khan Academy

“The Lá Jawab Treats cookbook is both a culinary and cultural treasure. The joy of discovering the recipes behind Lá Jawab’s decadent desserts is equaled only by reading the captivating stories behind their creation. This cookbook deserves a space in every shelf, counter, and heart.”
Zareen Khan – Chef/Owner of Zareen’s, a Michelin Guide 2020 Restaurant

“The Chaudry siblings are a testament to the delicious truth that great chefs can come from anywhere, and arrive at any age. Lá Jawab is a feast for the eyes and a culinary gift for any fan of South Asian and Western fusion cuisine who wants to indulge in creativity, flavor, and playfulness. I look forward to their next book, even though it will mean buying new stretchy pants for my delighted belly.”
Wajahat Ali – Author of “Go Back To Where You Came From,” Columnist, TED Speaker

“A cookbook that will mesmerize you for its sheer mouth watering recipes. Written by two extraordinary kids with an indomitable spirit for baking, this book will ignite your inner baker. The riveting stories add another layer of flavor to the already bespoke concoctions. It is truly a work of tasty art and palpable talent.”
