Law in the United States: An Introduction is exactly what the title expresses. It is an introduction to the basic study of law. Law is a vast topic, made up of a multitude of far-reaching subtopics. Each chapter of this book covers a topic large enough for its own book. As such, each chapter is a basic overview.  The goal is not to make readers experts on the law but, rather, to give readers a basic understanding of the laws of the United States.
