This case study draws upon nearly a decade of Develotte’s experience teaching language online, first through collaboration between a classroom in France and one in Australia, and then a separate cooperative effort between a classroom in France and one in the USA.1 This project meets three goals simultaneously: 1. Supplementing French language learning for undergraduate students (in either Australia or the US); 2. Providing experience teaching French as a foreign language for Masters’ students in France; and 3. Facilitating intercultural dialogue through synchronous online communication between the two populations of students.
