Brenda Orazietti's Leadership in Nursing: Interviews with Ontario's Nursing Leaders is an excellent student resource that provides insight into health care administrative positions and careers in the nursing profession.
Brenda Orazietti is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream at York University’s School of Health, Department of Nursing. She has extensive experience in critical care nursing and teaching nursing in many settings and courses for over 3 decades. Brenda’s passion is teaching acute care courses and leadership hence this project was created for her nursing students to learn from some of the best formal leaders in nursing.
Brenda is the recipient of the Registered Nurses of Ontario’s Association, Leadership Award in Nursing Education, Academic Category in 2019. Brenda demonstrates excellence in nursing education and practice and shares with her nursing student’s real-life exemplars to assist with their learning. She is also an innovator and creative educator with high ratings.
Brenda received her BSCN from Lake Superior State University, in northern Michigan. She then achieved many certifications before completing a master’s degree in education from Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. Brenda then completed a master’s degree in nursing science with a specialization in Education at Aspen University, on-line, in the USA. Brenda has been involved in the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honour Society for decades as well as the Ontario Simulation Alliance, and CAN-SIM. Brenda has given many guest lectures and requested presentations at nursing conferences internationally. Brenda is also an entrepreneur of her own medical aesthetics business called Renewed Beauty by Brenda Inc.
