Wayne Wild is an Associate Professor in the Liberal Arts and Sciences department at Berklee College of Music. He studied at Columbia University before earning his medical degree and practicing as an internist and gastroenterologist in the Boston area. He later earned a Ph.D. in English and American literature from Brandeis University, focusing on 18th-century literature, medicine, and the language of healthcare. Since joining Berklee in 2000, Wild has developed courses including Liberating Aesthetics, Internal and External Landscapes, and Personal Identities: Personal Essay, Memoir, Poetry and Lyrics, exploring creativity, identity, and artistic expression.
