Lifetime Fitness – God Has Plans for You covers aspects of health related fitness as do many others. It, however, approaches the subject from a Christian worldview that gives credit to the creator, and suggests that one of the purposes of this amazing creation is service. We often do not know what the future opportunities for helping others will be, and that requires us to take optimal care of ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. This book focuses on physically, but does not ignore our mental and spiritual development.

I first went with a church group to Mexico when I was 50. I was part of the “build a house” crew and in 5 days we built a 12’x27’ house. I was sore and tired, but fulfilled beyond what I could have imagined. Now, 20+ trips later, I know why I walk every day, lift weights twice a week, manage my weight, work at learning Spanish, and look forward to the January and June trips with great anticipation. This year, at 64, I was the one on top of the roof attaching the metal roofing. God sent me an opportunity to serve rather late in life and I am blessed to have been ready. I hope you will do the same, and that this book will help.
