Cherie Hook, EdD, has been teaching and supporting students through their edTPA journey since 2012. In that time, Dr. Hook and her peers have coached more than 2,000 teacher candidates to successful completion of the edTPA. A National Board Certified Teacher with 20 years of experience in elementary education, Dr. Hook is passionate about helping good teacher candidates become great teachers. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the lake with her family, quilting, and reading.
Perihan Fidan, PhD, is a lecturer in the College of Education’s Curriculum and Instruction Department at Tennessee Tech University. She teaches elementary education and educational assessment courses. She has been teaching, coaching, and supporting preservice students through their edTPA journey for the past six years. Her research interests focus on pre-service teacher education, educational collaborations between schools, families, and community institutions, and STEM education in K-12 grades. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and learning with educational technology.
Elizabeth McMillan, PhD, has been a Tennessee educator for 13 years. The first six years of her career were spent teaching 5th grade before transitioning to Tennessee Tech University’s College of Education, where she has been for the past seven years. Elizabeth enjoys instructing, coaching, and supporting her students through their methods courses and throughout their edTPA journey. When she is not teaching, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family at their farm and at the lake.
Queen Ogbomo, PhD, an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Tennessee Tech University, has been teaching, coaching, and supporting students through the edTPA process since 2012. Dr. Ogbomo also teaches elementary mathematics, science, and social studies methods courses. Her research interests include Inservice teacher professional development, STEM education, and Multicultural Studies. A teacher educator with more than 19 years teaching experience in elementary and higher education, Queen Ogbomo is dedicated to producing highly effective elementary school teachers.
