In this chapter, we explain Problematic Integration Theory, its importance, and its relevance for and application to communication processes and practices. We then present a vignette describing the theory as it relates to the experience of millennials following the election of President Donald Trump, highlight several examples, and invite further reflection on this significant time in the evolution of the millennial generation.
