A native of Jackson, MS, Ramon Jackson is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Music Education/ Assistant Department Chair/Director of Music Education/Assistant Band Director at Jackson State University. He is an accomplished music educator, author, and advocate for music. Dr. Jackson received his Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Music Education from Jackson State University. He also earned the Doctor of Music Arts in Instrumental Pedagogy from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, IL and the Doctor of Music Education from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
